"Are you absolutely sure that a man who had been thrown out of the army, his home, denied permission to continue his calling, been made to feel useless by his own psychosomatic idiosyncrasies, suffered through the most terrible times anyone can imagine, starved, beaten, destroyed, ill and scared of both everything out there that could and would harm him and of the terrors inside his own head, would feel able to say no to the one man who had given him food, shelter, health, purpose and friendship and could, as far as he was aware, take it all away from him again?"

I just kept reading this over and over and over again, feeling so epically bad for Sherlock. I mean, Mycroft brings up an excellent point but only John can answer these questions. It's not fair to raise these doubts in Sherlock when both John and the security of their compound is at risk. Because if Seb was a spy, then who else has the potential to slip past the Holmes brothers unnoticed?

And on that note, I want more!! Any chances of there being a sequel when finished??
