Thanks! Although I'm not sure about the fast-paced thing, I have after all just spent 40,000 words on the first 72 hours of their aquaintance! (although that's not strictly my fault; they wouldn't stop DOING things!)
Next update is delayed a day by Christmas (actually it's more that it was delayed a day by the stern look my beta gave me while saying, "Are you actually going to post an update on Christmas day?") so it'll be on the 26th.
